Training Requirements
- Extensive training at 6th Dan level
- 30 hours community service
- Must be actively involved in teaching TaeKwon-Do as a chief instructor
- Demonstration of leadership within the TaeKwon-Do community
- Expected to conduct seminars and lead instructor development

- Governance and decision-making processes
- Testing and promotion procedures
- Tournament organization and management
- Seminar and continuing education programs
- Standards and curriculum development
- Quality assurance and instructor certification

- Hups TaeKwon-Do (Westminster, Colorado)
- West View TaeKwon-Do

Grand Master Level Leadership Responsibilities
At 7th Dan level, students are expected to demonstrate and understand:

Complete TaeKwon-Do Knowledge
As a 7th Dan, students must demonstrate master level knowledge in all areas:
- Complete history of TaeKwon-Do and Korean martial arts
- Deep understanding of all philosophical principles
- Mastery of all technical aspects and applications
- Expert knowledge of teaching methodology
- Understanding of competition and judging
- Knowledge of related martial arts and their relationships to TaeKwon-Do
The Highest Level
7th Dan represents the pinnacle of technical and educational achievement in TaeKwon-Do. At this level, the practitioner has transcended the role of student and has become a guardian and transmitter of the art, responsible for preserving its integrity and ensuring its continued development for future generations.
