Training Requirements
- 48 months training at 4th Dan level
- 25 hours community service
- No Ho Sin Sul required
- Must be actively involved in teaching TaeKwon-Do
General Choi Hong-Hi History
Students must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of General Choi Hong-Hi, the founder of TaeKwon-Do, including:
- His early life and military career
- Development of the TaeKwon-Do system
- Creation of the 24 patterns and their significance
- The philosophy and tenets of TaeKwon-Do
- His role in spreading TaeKwon-Do worldwide
- The International TaeKwon-Do Federation (ITF)
- His contributions to martial arts pedagogy

| The feet are even and parallel. The arms are positioned crossed just below the wrists at neck level directly in front of the body with the right hand closer to the chest. The hands are held vertically in a flat position similar to the knife-hand position but relaxed. |
Teaching Responsibilities
At 5th Dan level, students are expected to be senior instructors with the following responsibilities:
- Active involvement in teaching as chief or assistant instructor
- Mentoring junior black belts
- Curriculum development and lesson planning
- Understanding of TaeKwon-Do pedagogy
- Leadership in the TaeKwon-Do community
